Mountainbiken rund um Roseggers Waldheimat

Once snowfields and another time the weather stopped me. In the third attempt I made it to the Pretul after all.

Today the 20th power donation MTB marathon took place in St. Jakob with start and finish at the GH Orthofer. Too little ambition to take part, but I took a look at the course after the race. The 15 km lap with 500 hm has to be completed twice during the race and some sections fall into the category 'quite decent' 😁

The weather forecast today was once again very modest, the rain clouds were really low, but I didn't meet anyone on the entire route - not bad either 😁

The 5.5 km long and rather boring driveway with 500 hm to the Hauereck refuge is then rewarded with the descent on the Hauereck Trail. As you can see… leggi altro

Yesterday it was still rain and snow (!), This morning there was hoar frost on the car, but in the end the sun still prevailed today.

Actually, I wanted to go to the Pretul, but the white stuff lying around in places thwarted this plan and I turned a few hundred meters towards the stone bolt.

So after a small change of plan we went back to St. Kathrein via the -Hauereck-Trail and the Red Cross.

The last trip of the vacation took me from St. Kathrein am Hauenstein over the Jäger Höhe and the Red Cross to the Hauereck and back.

Most of the route - especially the descent from Hauereck to St. Kathrein - is rather unspectacular. But you are compensated by the Hauereck single trail with a length of… leggi altro

Today a short and leisurely tour on the Kaiser-Karl-Weg with a detour to the Luegeralm and once around the Eggberg. As a little bonus, I did a few laps on the forest course.

Today it was again on the high change and like last time it was a .. cold and windy despite the reasonably acceptable weather.

Today, when the weather was great, I first went to the Arzberghütte, where I got two excellent apricot jam pancakes.

After a little refreshment, we went a few meters further to the summit cross of the Arzberg before returning to St. Jakob im Walde via the two technically very demanding sections of the… leggi altro

Today there was no search for my little yellow u. trendy dark brown friends - biking was on the program.

I stole some of the official 'Fish Biker Tour', but then adapted it a bit. Parts of my hike 'Fischbach - Teufelstein' had to be included in the tour planning, which spiced up the round by a few nice… leggi altro

After the digestive walk, quickly made a small round on the 'Kaiser Karl Rundwanderweg'. After the rain in the morning pretty slippery and slippery.

Discovered by chance the absolute highlight of the round in the form of the 'forest trail', tried it out and flown only once to the pipe 😆.

Without great tour planning fresh on the Arzberghütte which of course had the result that one or the other dead end was there. Nevertheless, a few nice trails found and driven and the forest trails in this area are mostly awesome anyway.

With the perfect autumn weather for the anniversary, we went to the Arzberg again, this time on a new route.

The section of the route at km 7.5 to approx. Km 8 (shortly after the quarry) with a gradient of up to 23% is because of. of the underground cannot be driven even with an eBike - but if you love your bike, you can push 🤪

Actually, I wanted to drive a little further, but I met with the one who was “tough” 😁. After Ortis Pfandl and the remains of my godmother's martinigans, I couldn't think of continuing with the best will in the world 🤢

The last round of the holiday went from Wenigzell via Miesenbach past the trail center there to the Wildwiesenhütte and back to Wenigzell.

Tired of getting me new cycling shorts because I forgot mine at home 😬. Well, so that the trip is at least worth it, a new helmet was also included 😀
