🇩🇪 Taunus

The weather is supposed to get worse, so we used this afternoon again for an autumn walk. Beilstein, Großer Zacken, Hühnerberg and Weilsberg are always stunningly beautiful around this time.

Finally the sun is shining again 🌞, a good reason to take the longer planned hike.

It is always astonishing what one has still not seen in one's immediate vicinity, even though it is "right on the doorstep". It is not only worth heading to the well-known destinations in the Taunus!

Everything is iced over and a dirty dog!!!😫🤯

After a week of storm and rain with only limited walks, we wanted to enjoy the sun today. Our hiking destination at Bleibeskopf was definitely worthwhile, but the forest (what's left of it after the beetle plague and drought) and the paths are in terrible condition. The Altkönig is actually a worthwhile destination, the distance in between not (harvester tracks just everywhere, dead branches, knee-deep churned-up ground, no ground covering green, just bad!
