Snowy fairytale landscapes. This is generally how people imagine winter in Switzerland to be. They paint the picture of the winter paradise. But, not all Swiss live high up in the mountains. Our group of cycling enthusiasts is based in the Region around Bern. We are Steffi, Katja, Marco, Niels and me. Here in the lowlands, snow days have been rare recently. So we decided to bring the snow a visit. Our goal, climbing the slopes of the in white wrapped Col de Chasseral. By bicycle.This Col du Chasseral is also known as Mont Ventoux in Switzerland, because of the approximately 115m high transmission tower on the mountain top. The road up to the tower serves you a amazing panorama view on the Alps, Vosges and the Black Forest - making it a truly blessed road.
