Many covered seating invite you to linger in beautiful weather. Here you can let the sounds of forest and animal work on you.

The NP Hainich is now well prepared for the needs of the visitors.

Far away from all hiking trails, the trail was about 7 km through the URWALD Hainich.

Sometimes we left the official ways and explored the Hainich.

Past the Wachholderheide, our path led us to the master builder's cross, then to the small sculpture path.

In the NP you can also feel the incisions regarding the Corona Virus.

It was a good tour with a lot of birdsong and knocking woodpeckers. Squirrels crossed our path.

The Hainich is very badly damaged in places by wind break and bark beetle.

The flowering wild garlic gives the Hainich a wonderful fragrance.

Today I hiked the Hainich from a different region than usual.

Across the Hainich at the narrowest point…. from the Wartburgkreis to the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis. Started at the Harsberg hiking car park.

Despite the dreary forest (due to the time of year) a few small splashes of color were found to take photos.
