Bikepacking, Wandern am Millstätter See, Kärnten, Slowenien

Friday, after work, it started, pretty monotonous on the Arlberg. With earplugs for the noisy tunnels, it was bearable. Great panoramic tour with a lot of altitude. The Nassfeldpass on the Italian side has the typical bad asphalt. After the gallery he's much better. The bike path to Treviso and on to Slovenia is great (Alpe - Adria Trail) evenly uphill, I had a sharp headwind. in Slovenia it is nice and easy downhill… leggi altro

You can drive a long way to Renates Alpe by car (but you don't have to🤪). From there steep up, great views of the lake and the mountains. Above all around panorama. The descent is sensational through great fauna and flora, before it then goes comfortably in serpentines to the goal.

Nice hike to the Granattor. The whole mountain is full of garnet stones. At the turn of the century the ruby stones were very popular. They were brought to Poland where they were cut and processed into jewelry. Try to read the writings of the gate, there is more about the stone.
