This tour leads on the edge of the Aaper forest in the direction of Ratingen, Auermühle. The only point - besides physical exercise - is to arrive at the weekend for a hearty breakfast and watch hipsters with their newbies.
The desolate passage through Ratingen-Ost is bearable because of its short length…

"Rampe" up Fahneburgstrasse or through the forest (see other tours). Past the racetrack and left again to the Teufelskuhl. Now towards Knitttkuhl (partly gravel path, less something for normal tires). Knittkuhl up towards the barracks. From here let it roll and enjoy the "Dernbuschweg" descent. Be careful…

Today up the ramp “Fahneburgstraße” (alternatively “Rolandsteig” in the forest. Past the racecourse towards the horse farm “Gut Grosse Forst”, but at golf tee 13 down straight through to “Teufelskuhl” to Knittkuhl. Right up to the barracks and left to "Gut Höhne". The "Dorper Weg" to the small parking…
Nice one hour tour through the forest.
Pass the Rather Waldstadion and take the ascent "Dachsbergweg" (Photo 1 and 2). Now that your tongue is hanging out of your throat, enjoy the descent at the playground (3) right and immediately left. At the racetrack left, and up at the golf tee, track 13 (4) down…
