Borgo Prà (Belluno)

È uno dei due borghi che si trovano alle porte della città di Belluno famoso per l'antica roggia che con le sue acque attinte dal torrente Ardo, dava forza ai numerosi mulini che qui sorgevano.
Il borgo era importante per la lavorazione della lana, la macinatura dei cereali, la concia delle pelli, il taglio del legname nelle segherie e per la produzione delle famose spade bellunesi che tra Cinque e Seicento erano famose in tutta Europa, contese dagli eserciti e dai sovrani.

It is one of the two villages on the outskirts of the city of Belluno, famous for the ancient irrigation ditch which, with its waters drawn from the Ardo stream, gave power to the numerous mills that stood here.
The village was important for the processing of wool, the milling of cereals, the tanning of hides, the cutting of timber in the sawmills and for the production of the famous Belluno swords, which between the 16th and 17th centuries were famous throughout Europe, fought over by armies and sovereigns.
