Mit Streckenlängen von ca. 3 bis 15 Kilometern ist für jeden etwas dabei. Der Rundweg 11 entlang des Elsbachs sowie die beiden Lehrpfade eignen sich besonders für Familien mit Kindern. Etwas anspruchsvollere Touren sind die Hochrhöntour und der Rundweg 3. Oberelsbach liegt mit seinen Ortsteilen am Fuße der Langen Rhön und ist umgeben von insgesamt drei Naturschutzgebieten.
Kalkmagerrasen, Naturwaldreservat, Basaltsäulen, Bachauen, blühende Wiesen im Frühling - auf den Rundwanderwegen erwarten den Wanderer unterschiedliche Landschaften und vielfältige Eindrücke.
