Because of the Ilse Falls, I went to the Harz Mountains. They were definitely worth it. The wild Ilse valley is beautiful. The ascent to the Brocken is not that great for the last 3 km. The 6 km after the Brocken also not. There road, gravel, dead forest ... but which makes you think ...
