There had been a wisp of fresh snow last night and bright sunshine today. The hike around the partially frozen lake is super nice, but the other hikers already knew that!😎

We took the train to the top (2G, real control!) and the journey itself was an experience. Jake watched the upward movement through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors and was visibly impressed!

The Weißensee is very different on the two long sides. We had the sunny section at the beginning, but there is also a busy road in the immediate vicinity (very annoying!), the shady side is much more varied and exciting. I don't know if he really took the task seriously after the night's storm. He dragged branches along the path into the forest and if there weren't any to be found on the path, he dragged them out of the forest onto the path!🤪😊🤣

Up to the point where we turned back, the creek is kept in check by artificial steps. We skipped the section that follows the natural stream because we couldn't see where we were stepping in the snow. So unfortunately turn back before the real attraction!😫

Who needs Disneyland when there's Neuschwanstein?

But it's still beautiful here! Even if you've seen it umpteen times, taking photos here becomes a compulsion!!!!🤪😎

Unfortunately, not much is left of the castle, but the view over the Hopfensee is simply unbeatable!😎🌞😊
