After a short lunch break in the beautiful village of Rustrel, we went to the Colorado du Rustrel Park,

a former ocher quarry, the rock layers of which glow in a wide variety of ocher colors. Beautiful!

The area is a mixture of Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, of course all in a smaller area 😅.

What can I say ... The sun is shining again 🌞 and our pitch, this time a campsite, was beautifully located, right next to a paddock.

This morning we went to the tourist information office to plan our day. Nice little place!

Today we left for the south of France in our van. The first stop was Dijon, a beautiful city in Burgundy. Since we didn't have much time, we decided to take the owl path. This leads you to all the important sights in the old town of Dijon, which has been a World Heritage Site since 2015.

We actually wanted to spend the night at a campsite just before Nice last night, but unfortunately there were no more free spaces. On the Côte d'Azur, the low season is also high season 😅. Short but strenuous hike to the Faramans lighthouse, along the Plage de la Courbe. 24 degrees and no breeze, our bodies are no longer used to that at the end of October. Luckily we had enough water with us.

Actually, Cannes wasn't planned for today, but a 16 km hike through the Verdon Gorge. For this reason we stayed the last night on a pitch above the Lac de Sainte-Croix. After the short trip to Tourrettes-sur-Loup, we went to Monaco today. Here we immediately found a parking garage with the van, with a high access height and approx. 30 parking spaces for smaller mobile homes. We got the last place 😅. 6h parking cost us 23 euros. Totally ok for this very central car park and a large vehicle.

Short walk to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. From our pitch it was only 2 km to this pretty little village, which is located directly on the Mediterranean Sea and houses a beautiful marina, a small bullring and the Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer church.
