If there were the TV show "Germanys next Top-Cycle-Path", the Schlossparkrunde through Ostallgäu would probably be voted into the finals by the jury with a golden buzzer! Packed with breathtaking views over the Alps, idyllic lakes, picturesque villages and great sights, the Schlossparkrunde provides the material for a wonderful round trip, which we present here in five stages.

The name of this tour has been the program right from the start. Shortly after the start in Füssen, you will be able to admire the most famous fairytale castle in Germany. Neuschwanstein Castle is a real eye-catcher, but only one of many castles you can discover on the Schlossparkrunde. Countless monasteries, many small pilgrimage churches, historic old towns and exciting museums round off the cultural programme along the way.

Culinary delights are not neglected either. On each stage you can discover the Bavarian joie de vivre in its most beautiful form: In the cosy inns you will be served rustic snacks, which you can often refine with home-brewed beer specialities.

The biggest highlight of this tour is the route itself. The landscape alone, through which you cycle, is breathtakingly beautiful. At best, moderate, only very rarely larger gradients await you and over long stretches you roll over flat passages of old railway tracks, which lead you far away from car traffic through magnificent meadows or mystic forests. Otherwise, the tour usually takes place along cycle paths that are asphalted or gravelled. If you ride on roads, then on small, quiet side roads.
