Thüringer Wald

An easy, pleasant round over wide forest paths with beautiful views of the surrounding area. Several ponds and colorful flowers along the way made this tour a special nature experience.

Our tour included everything: streams, waterfalls, dams, stones, rocks and canyons. It all started with the old Tambach dam. Through the stone gate we went on towards Falkenstein. On the way there we could admire views of the narrow water dam and stone formations opposite from an exposed rock.

Today we hiked the "Schneekopflauf 2020/2021". We started at the Schmiedefeld ski lift. From there it went to the Großer Finsterberg. The further path then led us to the Schneekopf (highest viewpoint in Thuringia at 1001m). The tour impressed with idyllic forest paths - partly on the Rennsteig - and beautiful viewpoints.

Off to the Thuringian Forest: The Lauchagrund and the Bärenbruchgrund near Bad Tabarz were a worthwhile destination. Magical forest paths, babbling watercourses and imposing rocks, rocks, rocks fascinated us. Just great!

Beautiful round hike, partly wet and slippery, therefore hiking boots recommended. Also suitable for children.

Sulla via del ritorno da Schmalkalden, il cartello "Hohe Sonne" ci ha fermato di nuovo. Abbiamo deciso spontaneamente il nostro tour preferito nella foresta della Turingia. Tour pittoresco da Trusetal attraverso il bellissimo bosco misto fino alla Torre di Wallenburg (con salita). Da qui si ha una splendida vista su Trusetal e l'area circostante.
