When I was younger, I wanted to change the world. Now I just try to help fellow humans leave their screens and get outside to do things they love, challenge themselves and discover new places.I’m 50 and I live in Gryon, a village in the Swiss Alps with my wife Lillie and our young son Ben. I have been riding my bike in Switzerland and beyond since I was 12. In previous chapters of my life, I was a mediocre elite racer and worked 20 years for the UCI, the world’s cycling governing body. I attended many meetings, wrote and rewrote countless rules and met awesome people. I also ran a bike race in China that everyone has forgotten about. In 2014 I lost my job and decided to leave the corporate world to become a professional bike bum. An ambitious career change that sees me work as a bike guide, photographer, writer and cycling tourism consultant for brands, media and destinations.Insta: instagram.com/aswisswithapulseI am proudly supported by:

This flat route to the shores of Lake Geneva, along quiet roads, is ideal for families.Le Chablais is the ideal terrain for easy cycling away from the main roads. On the way, you cycle along the train line, through Aigle (km 11), to Villeneuve (km 21) where you can have a well-deserved rest and admire the views of Lake Geneva. Then you follow the shaded cycle path through Les Grangettes and along the Rhône back to Bex.
The route can be shortened by heading to the banks of the Rhône earlier, in Versvey for example (km 15).Tip: Treat yourself to an ice cream on the lakefront in Villeneuve while you soak up the view of the Riviera region!
