Got to Scarborough and thought fish n chips or press on. Press on won. Ended up on a 33% gravel slalom run and missed a turn.

Pretty good route if I do say so myself. However I didn't expect the sections of farmyard tractor trails which are unpleasant to ride on a skinny road bike with minimal clearance for 25s.
Be warned though the Lincolnshire divide is a relentless boring saga of cabbage fields and dead straight roads. You…

29 degrees. Phone cooked. Apps interrupted. Savage encounter with kerb in RP... back to inner tubes. Hole in sidewall. Failed bunny hop.
Wisely forest lots of sand. Quick and slow. Recommend a fat bike for those parts.

Prematurely ended as my phone overcooked and I had yo wait until it had cooled down to resume. Coincided with a fight with a kerb in Richmond Park that meant a inner tube in the back tyre. Something Swinley didn't manage!

Road bike defiinately for summer use. Rim brakes and skinny 25s crap on leafy pot holed decents.
Still I had converted to tubeless and they performed well.
Semi slicks for the gravel bike for winter roads out in the boonies...
