Informazioni su Luxembourg Outdoors
I'm Jonny, often happily lost on a hiking trail in or around Luxembourg. My rucksack contains a large flask of coffee, some treats for my golden labrador and a thick bin liner (so useful in so many different ways!).

Simply superb, from the starting point at Echternach's Romanesque basilica through the imposing Wolf Canyon, the weird "Hohllay", the cosy "Welkeschkummer", the dizzying heights of the "Geierslay" and down, down, down into Echternach once again. A little piece of hiking paradise from start to finish…

The all-new Minett Trail spreads its arms across the south of Luxembourg for 90km. It's a very curious shape, sort of rippling outwards from Esch like a silvery spiderweb, oddly reminiscent of the crack on my iPhone screen. There are no defined "start" and "end" points, so we started exploring it from…

The old Auto-Pédestre Bettendorf I has "levelled up" and transformed into one of the 18 "Eislek Pads". Seekers of spectacular insta-friendly sights should probably look elsewhere - this is mostly a calm, peaceful, stress-free hike on quiet forest trails, with the occasional bumpy ridge and historical…

It was all foggy and mysterious up on the "Guttland Trail Fuussepad" this morning. This all-new hiking trail packs a lot into its 11.2km, from impressive Roman remains to the wide-open meadows of the Steinsel plateau. Most of the trail, however, meanders gently on natural paths through expansive beech…

Starting in the shadow of the astounding "Family of Man" photo exhibition in Clervaux Castle, this medium-length hike neatly combines some grandiose buildings and monuments with peaceful, unspoilt woodland. Don't miss the short detour from the official trail to see the bombastic Abbey of St Maurice and…

Similar to its sister trail - the Nat'Our Route 1 - this longish hike has two distinct parts. Whilst the German side isn't terribly interesting or demanding, the Luxembourg side is much more challenging... and simply gorgeous, with varied trails, perfect streams, lots of nature and a magnificent viewpoint.

The Auto-Pédéstre Reimberg has recently been "upgraded" to be the very first "Guttland Trail". More signposts, more places to stop and rest, and certain sections closed to mountain bikers. It all feels very comfortable and well-maintained and, at just over 5km short, a perfect family-Sunday-afternoon type of hike.

It's one of the classic Mullerthal hikes, an almost non-stop hit parade of spectacular rock formations and gorgeous forest scenery. It also, of course, goes past THE star sight of the Mullerthal - the Schiessentümpel waterfall and bridge.
To avoid the inevitable crowds at the Schiessentümpel, we recommend…

When a hiking trail starts off in a labyrinth, you just know that it's going to be a good one!
Once you find your way through this unusual beginning, you'll discover a hike that is, essentially, split into three: a gorgeous forest section at the beginning and the classic, sometimes spectacular, Moselle…
It's one of the most popular - and oddest - hikes in this famous outdoor region. Popular because the scenery is simply sublime, taking in some of the very best bits of Mullerthal Trails 2 and 3; a bit odd because it doesn't quite show you many of its most interesting sights, such as the impressive Vugelsmillen…
