Today we went back to the Hunsrück, hoping that it would be less foggy there than in Rheinhessen. We started at the sports hall in Ellern, did a little tour of the town and then headed towards the Schanzerkopf. Good idea! If you walk there again, then I (not only) recommend the path through the natural forest reserve Katzenkopf (bordering directly on the aviator monument). You've already photographed the sign for it ;o)
