That was a really nice tour. Started in the center of Wachtendonk and then first along the Niers to the confluence with the Nette. Then a few meters back and with the "self-service ferry" and a little muscle strength overcame the river.
Then back along the Nette in the direction of the town center and…
Before returning to the starting point, there were two last highlights on the varied route. On the one hand, the Wachtendonk castle ruins and a small bridge, over which a narrow-gauge railway of the Geldernsche Kreisbahn ran between Kempen and Kevelaer between 1901 and 1932.
