Stupid question from me: What does EKS actually mean? I understand that much that it is the point at which you take a rest and then turn back. Or is that misinterpreted?

EKS = stop for a break (you can also do this e.g. when skiing!). As a rule, the return journey or the onward journey comes when we are traveling by train.
