The grounds of the Psychiatric Clinic Lüneburg (PKL) with its parks and the clinics in the pavilion system from the Wilhelminian period are worth seeing. Also a place to relax. The facility is open, an exception is "forensics", where you should not take pictures.

One of the 31 children's departments that existed in Germany was founded in Lüneburg. About 5000 children were killed in these departments.
