Before you rush into the Kyrgyz wilderness, there are two things to do in Karakol: Once you should go to Asman and try through all sorts of Kyrgyz specialties. On the other hand, one should visit the large market and get there its supplies for the upcoming tour. Three days will require the ascent of…
Hey Niko, cool trip. Let me know more of the logistics and background. Your writing sounds like for a flashy magazine. Did you ride this on your own or for some publication?
Hey Traveler, we rode everything on our own, without the help of any local organisation. The story was published at the BIKE Magazine some time ago but this wasn't our primary intension. We just wanted to have a good time riding our bikes in Kirgistan. If you could specify your questions I would love…
Thanks, very kind, just did the Continental Divide & am collecting realistic ideas for future fun rides. Couldn't find the article besides naturephile.de, Deutsch is ok, perhaps you can post a link if it gives the details, such as which Navi app/source used, complete trip loop, time of year, gear/weight…

Regarding the full tour: We rode some trails at the Ala-Archa Nationalpark, some along the Yssykköl-Lake…

On Komoot are only a few of your rides, some actually say day trip. Was hoping to see GPX for the rest of you biked for a few weeks. Cheers, ride on!
Oh, I thought you were talking about a big bike in the sense of downhill or freeride bike :D A Stumpjumper would be a good choice and you can carry a bike of this size for hours, trust me. It's just a matter of technique (and a little bit of fitness :-P). The routes at Ala Archa Nationalparks are kind…
