A great entertaining tour of Antje’s homeland. It led us to places worth seeing. We started with the Alte Tambacher dam with the stone hole, through the stone gate to the Altenfels and to the Falkenstein, then through the "Röllchen" gorge to the Schmalwassertalsperre and back over the Brandfels.

Tambach-Dietharz is an insider tip. Awesome hiking area, extremely well developed and signposted, but very poorly advertised. Strange, maybe the community (even before the fall of the Wall) doesn't want tourism. Everything is perfect. Franzl from the Alm
