Cicloturismo – Raccolta by The Women All Ride
5 Tour

409 km
7.400 m
On August 25 2022, up to 25 women, non-binary and trans riders will set off to ride the TWAR X komoot Women’s Weekender. 333 kilometers with about 6,000 meters of altitude through the Taunus, a beautiful and unexpectedly diverse region. Meet us in Eppstein on August 25 2022 at 9am to start the ride together. This is not a race. It’s a self-supported bikepacking weekend trip with the goal of completing the loop and making it to the finishers’ BBQ on August 28th by 3pm.
Taunus Teaser is a more compact version of the annual Taunus Bikepacking event track by Jesko von Werthern. The route is most suitable for gravel and mountain bikes. More compact doesn’t mean it’s less hilly than the original. Lots of short, often steep climbs on all kinds of different surfaces await you. The varied route takes you on an unforgettable journey into the heart of an almost forgotten region. You will find dreamy villages, medieval castles, remains of the Roman Empire, shelter huts and campsites along the way. A surprisingly remote area that is close to the bustling city of Frankfurt and therefore easy to reach by all kinds of transport, proving that adventure really is everywhere.
The route is suitable for riders with first bikepacking or overnighter experience or those, who’ve challenged themselves on longer daytrips and want to go for their first multi-day adventure, supported by a community of riders.
For the TWAR x komoot Women’s Weekender, we’ve split Taunus Teaser into four suggested stages, each ending at a campsite. Of course you are not bound to the stages, it only gives you the security of a potential sleeping spot at the end of each stage. There is also a shortened version of stage four that you can use to avoid some altitude.
The weekender is open to 25 women, non-binary and trans riders so please make sure you register to sign up here, if you want to join us: eventbrite.de/e/twar-x-komoot-womens-weekender-taunus-teaser-edition-tickets-380308632357
