Rheinsteig 2021

Parked on the free P&R of Rhöndorf, 5 meters from the platform of tram 66 to Bonn main station.



A fantastic first stage of the Rheinsteig and the weather played along too 🌞



On trail for approx. 26 km, the rest of the bonus loops (Heistenbach Abbey, Petersberg Chapel, Drachenfels) as well as access and departure routes.

Due to an unauthorized decision of my Kompot app, there are two parts of today's stage ...



A truly epic stage, so much in advance!



As the day before, we parked at the P&R in Rösrath, where we returned after the stage with the RB 27 in just 9 minutes.

From the junction to Himmerich, i.e. after approx. 18 km, our second Rheinsteig stage became truly epic and the face of the climb changed completely. In the beginning we were traveling on hiking highways through idyllic forest areas, now fields and forest sections… leggi altro

Parked in the free car park directly on the banks of the Rhine in Erpel.



From there a short bonus round to the former bridge of Remagen, through the Erpeler old town and to the Mariengrotto, before we started the ascent to Erpeler Ley (meanwhile in the rain). This time we took the road and only made two… leggi altro

Parked in the free parking lot of Altwied Castle in Neuwied 🤔😆 Right next door at 8:11 am, took the 131 bus to Neuwied train station and from there with the RE 8 to Rheinbrohl, arrival 8:43 am.

Parked, like the day before, in the parking lot of Altwied Castle. After the stage, return from Vallendar by RE 8 to Neuwied and by bus 160 to Melsbach Kreuzkirche. From there then another 1.3 km downhill to Altwied Castle.



On trail today for about 32 km. It was exhausting! 😆

Parked in the free car park at the train station in Vallendar. From there to the re-entry point and then made about 31 kilometers of trail. From Braubach train station then to Koblenz central station, where we now eat pizza at remos first. Then overnight in the Best Price Hotel Koblenz-Bendorf and tomorrow… leggi altro

Parked at the train station in Braubach (P&R was full, but there were plenty of free spaces at the back).



On trail today for approx. 24 km (0.5 km on the way, 2.5 km on the way). A stage that we raise to the same level as the first four. With the ascent to Marksburg, things got off to a great start. There… leggi altro

After dinner we still had an appetite for dessert ... So on the spur of the moment, we added 3 trail kilometers to our 8th stage and thus shortened the next stage a bit 😊



Great view from the Dreiburgenblick and then many beautiful views of Katz Castle on the descent from Patersberg.

Started at our apartment in St. Goarshausen, approx. 300m from the train station. Ridden with the RE10 to Kamp-Bornhofen, the end point of our last stage.



First over the towpath along the Rhine and from the Bornhofen monastery the steep ascent to Sterrenberg Castle began, where we had breakfast for the… leggi altro

Started from the apartment and made about 26 kilometers of trails. At the end with the RE10 from Kaub back to St. Goarshausen in 8 minutes.



It was a great stage again, except for the last 5 km, because there we fought on a wide, steep forest path against heat, humidity and mosquitoes, which were buzzing… leggi altro

Parked in Kaub, directly on one of 3 parking spaces on the B42. At the end of the stage from Assmannshausen by RE10 back to Kaub in 13 minutes.



Another stage worth seeing, which almost achieved the sole first place in our ranking. Only the long, wide forest hiking trails between Lorch and Assmannshausen… leggi altro

Parked at the train station in Assmannshausen and after the stage with the bus 172 from the Eberbach monastery to the train station in Eltville and then returned with the RB10 to Assmannshausen.

Parcheggiata a Kloster Eberbach e vi ritorna alla fine della tappa da Wiesbaden-Biebrich sulla RB10 e da Eltville sul bus 172 in 38 minuti.
