Bernkastel-Kues 2021

Arrived on the Moselle in Bernkastel-Kues. Here are the first impressions of this beautiful place. Everything else will follow in the next few days.

Today we went to the Machern monastery. Actually, we should be able to look at the vineyards from the other side of the Moselle. This morning it started like yesterday in fog. But from noon the sun was there. And it's super nice to see how the fog is leaving. The views over the Moselle and the vineyards are simply fantastic. Our expectations were just too high. Traben-Trabach absolutely cannot keep up with Bernkastel.

Today we went to Traben-Trabach by ship. The weather wasn't great, but the boat trip was still very nice. When we arrived in Traben-Trabach, we expected such a beautiful place as Bernkastel. This time I put it in as an outdoor activity, nobody can say anything about that.

During storms and thunderstorms, we enjoyed the inside of the wine taverns yesterday. This morning it was 4 degrees but sunshine through the vineyards to Lieser Castle. A wonderfully beautiful landscape 🥰🥰

Today we went home again. On the way back we stopped in Cochem. For whatever reason, Komoot didn't record continuously, that's why there are part 1 and part 2. First we went up to the castle. That is an impressive building. And the view is beautiful too.

After the castle then through the town and with the chairlift just a ride up and down and then go back through the town. Cochem is beautiful, but unfortunately completely overcrowded. There were 5 river cruises there and it was just full of people. We were glad that we chose Bernkastel-Kues for our overnight… leggi altro
