We did this bike-trip with e-bikes. The complete track is great to cycle, with wonderful landscape and great bike tracks. Some tips:We are not super-heros, so it was good to have some extra nights (e.g. in Innsbruck). We used the time for hiking or sight-seeing. That also allowed us to wash and dry our clothes and have the luggage reduced. We stayed in hotels/pensions and made sure, we had a nice lunch and dinner in restaurants around ( you may see at the end-point of our track).Train trips where difficult to book, you need to reserve a place for the bike. For the way back from Verona to Düsseldorf we took an "overnight train".This was our first e-bike trip, we found a max distance to go relaxed is 80km for us. We had 400KW battery. Only once we decided to re-charge over lunch and had no issue (of course, dont go with "turbo" all the time). We went in September and made sure Italy summer vacation is over at the time we arrive in Venice. We stayed at the Lido island that can be reached via bike, so we could spent some time at an the beach (to relax from sight-seeing Venice). Travel Plan:
Train: Düsseldorf to Munich - 2 nights in Munich
Bike: Munich, Bad Tölz (Wackersberg), Innsbruck (3 nights)
Train: Innsbruck to Brennero
Bike: Brennero - Bruneck, Cortina, Belluno, Conegliano, Treviso (2 nights),Venice (some nights at Lido),
Vaporetto: Venice to Chioggia (Vaporettos/ferry take bikes)
Bike: Chioggia, Montegrotte Therme (2 nights with "wellness") , Padua
Train: Padua to Verona + NightTrain Verona-Düsseldorf
