Mountain bikes are perfect for exploring new paths and areas. You roll quietly through beautiful landscapes – just fast enough to make good progress, but slow enough to take in the beautiful nature and wonderful small details. A mountain bike holiday is perfect for slow travel – it mixes pleasure and adventure.
There’s only one small downside. Despite the freedom that you gain on a mountain bike, you are somewhat limited in terms of distance and altitude. You have physical limits and your endurance will be exhausted eventually. This means that you often ride the same routes again and again, so you know them like the back of your hand. eBikes come into their own here. They give you the extra power you need to get off the beaten track. The tough climb that you’ve never dared before suddenly seems less daunting and the extra-long route isn’t a problem. eBikes help you to leave familiar terrain and discover your surroundings in a whole new way. With this Collection, we want to give you inspiration for new adventures. Forget the words ‘too long’, ‘too far’ or ‘too steep’ and look forward to great bike Tours that you hadn’t thought possible.
This Collection takes you to Ticino, a beautiful region in the south of Switzerland. Ticino shares its language with its neighbouring country, Italy, but the commonalities don’t end there. You’ll also find picturesque villages with typical piazza where you can treat yourself to an espresso after your Tour. The capital of Ticino, Bellinzona, impresses with its medieval fortresses and the small mountain villages and the Alps ooze charm. You can tuck into a freshly prepared classic pizza or Ticino specialties in the midst of the impressive mountain scenery.
The Tours in this Collection show you Ticino from a new perspective. You turn your back on the well-known routes and explore paths and trails that are not in the travel guides. With an eBike, you can easily cope with long climbs and retain enough energy reserves to reach your accommodation or the next train station. Not all Tours are designed as a circular route, so you sometimes have to return to the starting point or hotel by bike or train. Adventure is included in every route. You’ll collect many beautiful experiences and memories that you can bring home with you from your eBike holiday in Ticino.
