The new pedestrian and cycle bridge Geraflussschleife in Gispersleben connects the districts Kiliani and Viti.The bridge replaced the old crossing over the weir, which was demolished during river works. Construction started in May 2018. Delays in the delivery of the steel tube resulted in significant deviations in the construction schedule. The bridge is ceremonially inaugurated with the characteristic blue steel arch with a bridge festival on August 30, 2019.

The 24-ton bridge arch over the Gera in Gispersleben has a radius of 25 meters and a height of 7.5 meters. Tension rods are mounted on it, which ultimately fix the entire structure.
