Highlight – Escursionismo
From the top you have on the sculpture wind sound a great view of the Hunsrück to the Eifel. On the plateau is also a wooden observation tower, from which you can look over the southern part of the national park to the Saarland (in clear weather, for example, the foam mountain is clearly visible). There are two premium routes to choose from, the Cloef-Pfad dream loop and the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig leg 10.

A 16.50 m high sculpture made of larch wood with an interesting name (wind sound), which can be crossed, is part of a viewing platform on the 816 m high Erbeskopf. From here you can let your gaze wander far into the distance.

In 2011 the summit plateau was extensively redesigned. Since then, the eye-catcher has been the walk-in sculpture named Windklang 816M by sculptor Christoph Mancke. Depending on the weather, the sculpture has its own sound. Nature is the orchestra here and makes the wind sound. Incidentally, you also have a great view from the sound of the wind.
