La Vena d'Oro (ex colonia Enel)

La storia delle proprietà dell’acqua della Vena d’Oro con la sua fonte risale ai tempi degli antichi romani.
Già nel 1400 si ha traccia di un eremo di frati che conoscevano le proprietà guaritrici dell’acqua della fonte locale che, definite della salute, veniva utilizzata per curare le persone.
Dopo che a fine Settecento l’area era stata adibita a mulino per il grano, a metà dell’Ottocento arriva la grande idea della famiglia trevigiana Lucchetti: dare vita a un grande centro idroterapico. Nel 1869 venne aperto il primo centro del Veneto che avrebbe conquistato i favori della nobiltà di tutta Europa, che arrivava a Belluno per lunghi soggiorni estivi.
Nei primi anni del '900 l’albergo viene chiuso e tutto diventa proprietà della Sade e poi di Enel. La Vena d’Oro viene così utilizzata come colonia estiva per i figli dei dipendenti.
Dagli anni Trenta agli anni Ottanta, l’acqua minerale della Vena d’Oro creò una propria nicchia nel mercato delle acque minerali da tavola.

The history of the properties of the Vena d'Oro water and its source dates back to Roman times.
As early as 1400 there is evidence of a hermitage of monks who knew about the healing properties of the water from the local spring, which, defined as health, was used to cure people.
After the area had been used as a grain mill at the end of the eighteenth century, in the mid-nineteenth century came the great idea of the Lucchetti family from Treviso: to create a large hydrotherapy centre. In 1869 the first centre in the Veneto region was opened and it was to win the favour of the nobility from all over Europe, who came to Belluno for long summer stays.
In the early 1900s the hotel was closed and everything became the property of Sade and then Enel. The Vena d'Oro was then used as a summer camp for the children of the employees.
From the thirties to the eighties, the mineral water of the Vena d'Oro created its own niche in the market of mineral table water.
