The summit is known as a good vantage point from which you can see Mondsee, Attersee, Traunsee, Vorderer Langbathsee and Taferlklaussee.increases:
1) The shortest climb starts at the Taferlklause. It leads through the Aurachkar first to the Hochleckenkogel and then to the Brunnkogel. Walking time: about 2½ hours.
2) A longer route from the Taferlklause leads first to the Hochleckenhaus and from there in an easterly direction over the high plateau to the summit. Walking time: about 3 hours.
3) The most challenging marked climb begins at Vorderer Langbathsee. First to the located in a basin Hinter Langbathsee, then on the Schafluckensteig (a former alpine trail) a rock break with wire rope secured passages are overcome, which require no fear of heights. Pass the long abandoned hunting lodge Schafalm and from the east through easier terrain to the Brunnkogel. Walking time: about 3½ hours.
