From Davos Frauenkirch to deep valleys and panoramic peaks to Bergün, the Kesch-Trek is a wonderfully varied four day hike. The beautiful mountain world around Davos Klosters is guaranteed to make your heart race as you hike along rippling mountain streams and unique, but challenging, high-altitude trails. Along the way, you can look forward to delicious food and spectacular views at rustic huts.

Your hike starts at the stop Frauenkirch which you can reach from Davos Platz by railway or bus. The Kesch-Trek is made up of relaxed sections, gentle alpine pastures and exciting summit climbs. The first stage up to the Walserhuus Sertig is a leisurely 6 mile (10 km) climb. The second and third days take you from the Walserhuus over the Sertig Pass, passing the Lai da Ravais lakes on the way to the modern Kesch hut. Unique landscapes and gorgeous alpine views will accompany you the whole way. From there you continue to the Es-cha hut overlooking the Porchabella Glacier. The last stage takes you to Bergün, visiting the dreamlike Laj da Palpuogna, which was voted the most beautiful mountain lake in Switzerland, along the way.

For the Kesch-Trek, you should be sure-footed and bring enough sun protection as you’ll mostly be hiking in open spaces with no shade at an altitude of more than 6,500 feet (2,000 meters).
