Mallorca is the destination on every cyclists' lips when considering the best places to hold a training camp or to escape from the doom and gloom of the winter. And even though this island has long been a favorite of road cyclists, the Balearic island also offers ideal conditions for mountain bikers. Here, on this island adrift in the sea, you'll find trails for every level of ability, fantastic scenery, a mild climate and quiet towns with a beautiful Mediterranean flair. All you need to do is know where to go — to avoid the mass tourism and the party buzz. And we're about to tell you where they are.
While the party-seeking package holidaymakers tend to prefer Mallorca's southwest around the capital Palma, mountain bikers have plenty of opportunities to get out of the hustle and bustle and experience the true beauty of the island. The Serra de Tramuntana, for example, a mountain range parallel to the northwest coast, offers fantastic conditions for biking, while in the north-east, the Serres de Llevant offers equally perfect conditions.
One thing that's incredibly refreshing in Mallorca is also the quality of the trails: They are as natural as the landscape. Mallorca is not a bike park. Often, you'll encounter sudden dead ends and blocked-off trailheads — or segments that'll force you to push or carry your bike for a while. And unlike other mountain bike destinations, there are no elaborately built downhill tracks with huge jumps and dangerous heels; something which makes Mallorca particularly suitable for beginners. Here, on the island, however, a good plan is absolutely crucial, as many roads lead over private property and many inclines can be incredibly tough—even for advanced riders.
But don't worry, our Tours are here to help you to find the right trails. And who knows? Maybe you'll meet some locals—especially considering mountain biking's growing popularity amongst those who call Mallorca home—and benefit from some insider tips.
Mallorca is a fantastic destination any time of the year. Especially in spring and autumn, however, the conditions are particularly good thanks to mild temperatures and little rainfall, with the Mallorcan mountain bike season properly getting underway in March.

Solo dodici chilometri?
