The Stubai High Trail is one of the most beautiful high routes in the alps. Hiking over green alpine meadows, rough cliffs, everlasting snow fields, you will pass by mighty glaciers, through high fenlands and over mountain peaks. The variety of the landscape on this trail is incomparable. But it also demands a certain amount of alpine experience, safe walking, endurance and the right gear. After all, you will hike above the 2,000 meter mark around the amazing alpine area of the Stubai valley, from hut to hut for eight to nine days, over mountain ridges and rough peaks.
The huts on the Stubai High Trail are amazing and everyone has its own charm. You will love the Tyrolean hearty food, which empowers you for the next day. In the evening you will have relaxed talks with other hikers and share experiences and stories around mountains and adventures. The sunsets are part of the “daily program” but especially the sunrises are worth getting up at 5 a.m. Well, at least do it once, you won’t regret it.
Depending on snow and weather, the Stubai High Trail can be hiked in full length from mid-July on. Before you go - or even plan it - always inform yourself about the conditions in the mountains, check in with the huts or the tourist office in Stubai.
