Traversing the Alps, from north to south, with the power of your own body – a mountain biker's dream. By now there is a good number of routes out there, one of the most beautiful and toughest is presented here. On this traverse, you will travel through four countries: You'll start in Germany, pass through Austria and Switzerland and reach your destination in "Bella Italia". Every day, the language of the locals will change, you'll notice by the greetings on the trails – Servus, Allegra, Salve, Buon Giorno, Ciao. The landscape and mountains will change constantly, too, while numerous highlights are lining the route, like the Verwall Valley and the Val Mora. But most of all, on these 480 kilometers, there are sensational single tracks waiting for you, some of the best of the Alps. So trail excitement is taken care of, each climb will be rewarded with an excellent descent – and during 14.000 meters of altitude, there are a lot of them.
But don't underestimate this traverse, there are 7 stages waiting for you, each of them bringing their own daily challenge. But when you conquer these, the feeling of standing at Lake Garda after 7 days of adventure and exertion is priceless. You really earned "La dolce vita" now! If you like, change the stages and plan in more time for the whole distance, it's easy. Going back home is done best with one of the many shuttle companies or by train.

But the route is packed with sensational bike highlights and some of the top spots in the Alps. Already on the "roll-in stage" today there is much to discover for you and the Fernpass Trail offers the first driving technical highlight of the tour.
On the second day one of the scenic highlights awaits you: the Verwalltal. On the way there are many restaurants and other highlights, but too much time you can not leave you, because at the end of the long day waits again a rise of more than 500 meters from Ischgl up to the stage goal Bodenalpe. After a restful night, it goes right to the beginning of the preserves. The brilliant departure from the Fimberpass you must first earn over the exhausting ascent. But comfort you, you will not be alone here. And if you are just up there, you can look forward to one of the most ingenious downhills in the Alps. However, on this stage you still have to pass a second pass - the very scenic Pass da Costainas. And tataaa: You are already in Switzerland.
The fourth day will be a long day again. But he also offers many bike delicacies. Through the beautiful and secluded Val Mora you come across a true flowtrail to the turquoise Lago di San Giacomo. From there over an old, disused railway track to Valdidentro. To conquer the Passo di Verva you have to fight again, but from there to the stage destination Grosio only downhill.
The fifth day is planned as a "rest day". Nevertheless, you should not underestimate him, because again waiting over 2,000, spiked with highlights, altitude on you. Among other things, you conquer the lonesome Passo dell 'Alpe and the, not only in racing cyclists, very famous Gaviapass. From this pass, it goes on a fast road down to today's destination Pezzo.
From day to day the Italian flair increases. That is not different today. From the idyllic mountain village Pezzo you climb the notorious Montozzo-Scharte. On the other hand, another top trail is waiting for you. A descent that will bring you the grin on your face and that you will remember for a long time to come. Today you will stop in the famous winter sports resort of Madonna di Campiglio, where summer tourism is pulsating.
Now you have done it soon - the final stage is waiting for you. Once again, you face two passes on the way to Lake Garda in the way. The bear pass, which requires some effort, and the Passo Balino. When you reach this you will start to get to your big destination. A few more waves, past Lake Tennessee and then you see him for the first time - Lake Garda. Enjoy the sight, because from now on it goes downhill! In Riva you finally stand on the shore. You did it!
