Sunshine lured us out, despite the frosty temperatures. Through the late autumn dunes, we hiked variedly on narrow paths, wide hiking trails, grass paths and muddy ramps on detours to the Dünkreuz.

It was a successful, relaxed round. 😀🍁🍂😀

Sunny autumn weather lured us into nature. In the hope of colorful autumn leaves, we headed for the Birkung reservoir.

Unfortunately, we had to find out that nature is not quite there yet. The color of the leaves is only just beginning. Despite everything, it was another great lap.

Continuation of our local history tours: From Adelsborn we went on Eselsgasse past the graves of those from Wintzingerode (beautiful view) to Kanstein (approx. 30 m high limestone formation). Short Sonnenstein tour from Brehme over the Wildungen desert, Brehmequelle and Brauner Bühl through forests and beautiful flower meadows.

The beautiful weather today led us to the Ohmberg and the Hauröder cliffs. After the ascent over the "Lungenprüfer" we were able to enjoy the view of the Sonder, Sonnenstein and Holungen😀. We hiked through the idyllic Luttertal into the Westerwald. Fresh green and a variety of birdsong accompanied us. We climbed up to Gleichenstein Castle via the limestone spring. Today we hiked uphill and downhill in the snow in glorious sunshine from Holungen to Gerode Monastery. We chose the way back over the Sonnenstein, which today lived up to its name. Weather and snow made it a perfect tour.

Lots of snow encouraged us to take a spontaneous hike to the Sonnenstein. Below the Rote Warte, we chose the path via the Sielmannhütte to Ecklingerode. Before the hot thaw melts the white splendor, we wanted to enjoy winter fun again. We quickly went to the Ohm Mountains near Wehnde. In the Trogberg and Schwarzenberg we still found plenty of snow.
