Climbing further Taunus peaks is progressing.

Non sono certo un mattiniero - dormirei molto più a lungo se potessi. Ma oggi c'era solo un breve lasso di tempo, proprio prima del turno di notte di mia moglie. Quindi ci siamo alzati al buio e siamo partiti per Brombach - abbiamo cercato un parcheggio e poi siamo partiti subito.

While packing my bags I looked at the planned tour again and decided that there was more "in" and therefore expanded to include fox dance and old king.



From Altenhain it went over the Schulberg to the b8 and to Johanniswald and Schneidhain. It follows the Woogtal in Kronberg - first I was greeted by four… leggi altro

Today, on my day off, I went back to the higher elevations of the Taunus - more peaks were waiting for me. It was supposed to start in Oberems - but the planned parking lot turned out to be a company parking lot - so we spontaneously drove on to Wüstems and rescheduled the tour. 18 km became 21 km.

At first I still thought: a route without a mountain - was that really a good choice? And then there was an ascent at the Eichkopf and the question was answered - in the end I was at 530m. And the climb was sometimes quite challenging.

Starting from the parking lot at Altenhainer Kreuz, it first went through Altenhain to the Spatzenscheune, from there via the b8 in the direction of Hornau, past it and then through Fischbach. Spontaneously decided that I shouldn't leave Altenhain - but take the car. From Bad Homburg to the Hirschgarten and parked there.

Today a leisurely hike for two - in fact we have often been to the glass head - but never up there. I made up for that today. The big spike was great - only the descent wasn't ideal given the weather conditions. Gladly again - in better weather with better visibility!

Un classico anche oggi, mentre il piccolo correva al Gimbacher Hof. Partendo dal Ginbacher Hof, andava al Kleiner e al Großer Mannstein, oltre la quercia di Schiller, sotto lo Staufen verso il Kaisertempel, passando per Bartholdy-Mendelssohn-Stein fino all'Hünerberg fino al Gimbacher Hof.

On men's day a small round from Falkenstein beginning to the Viktoriatempel (which was heavily littered) up to the Altkönig and downhill again to the parking lot. Just below the Altkönig we had a conversation with two nice gentlemen, who thankfully cleared the hiking trails again. Luckily the weather played along :)

The ascent to the Windhae was crisp - makes you want to climb more :)

Ci sono giorni in cui ti alzi presto e preferisci sdraiarti. oggi è stato sicuramente uno di quei giorni - se la tua testa non vuole davvero, sarà difficile. Una bella escursione attraverso il Taunus, eravamo in parte su sentieri che nessun escursionista ha percorso quest'anno. La pianificazione del tour con Komoot a volte può andare storta: guarda i percorsi inesistenti a Lausküppel.

Ma è stato divertente

Ottima raccomandazione - presumibilmente con una temperatura dell'acqua di 19,1 gradi - avrebbe dovuto pensare solo al costume da bagno 🩳 😊

Non avevo mai sentito parlare di Cratzenbach fino a ieri sera - ed ero lì. Il viaggio è stato in qualche modo strano: quando ho attraversato Altweilnau e ho visto di nuovo il castello, i sentieri su cui mi trovavo a marzo o aprile e la consapevolezza che avrei raggiunto il secondo traguardo oggi, ha… leggi altro

È passato molto tempo dall'ultima volta che ho visto questo piccolo segno "Taunus Schinderhannes Steig" durante un tour, e ovviamente non ne avevo idea o idea. Dopo dieci ore di lavoro, non c'è niente di più bello di un gelato a Neuenhain e poi all'Altkönig. Il piano era "solo" il Drei-Castle-Weg - indossavo solo le scarpe da ginnastica appropriate - ma più mi avvicinavo a Kronberg e Altkönig, più ne rimanevo affascinato. Guardare nella cava è stato il momento clou di oggi! La quarzite deve essere molto popolare🤓

Ho iniziato con una pioggia leggera, ho portato la giacca antipioggia, ma alla fine non ne ha avuto bisogno. Sundae a Kronberg sotto un cielo blu e un sole splendente. Il tempo non sembrava sapere nulla della pioggia segnalata per tutta la giornata.
