Cycling in Flanders – Iconic Cycle Routes through nature

In the midst of nature, these three great Tours lead you through the most beautiful and greenest parts of Flanders in Belgium. We call them Iconic Cycle Routes – they’re simply amazing.

If you like to stay close to a city and prefer not to cycle for too long, then the Green Belt Route around Brussels is ideal. You pedal around the green outskirts of the Belgian capital – riding up and downhill through the land of Bruegel, hops, grapes and chicory.

Or, perhaps you’d prefer the Kempen Route? Here, forests, heath landscapes and industrial culture alternate. Don’t miss the old railroad line through mining areas around the town of Genk.

Last but not least, experienced riders can take on the Hill Route. Belgium’s cycling legends train in the Flemish hills, the Flandriens. You find classics such as the Muur van Geraardsbergen, the hills around Kortrijk and the Limburg orchards that head constantly up and downhill.
