At the gates of Munich lies a dreamlike landscape that is perfect for mountain bike Tours with that certain something extra. Between the two well-known bodies of water, Lake Ammersee and Lake Starnberg, there’s an extensive network of trails and paths. In this Collection, we present five Tours that combine pure riding fun with adventures off the saddle. Since the routes run on easy trails, beautiful forest paths and side roads, they’re suitable for all levels, including children.
Thanks to e-mountain bikes, there are no limits to the distance and elevation gain that’s possible, leaving you with plenty of energy for brilliant stops in between. How about an exciting change of perspective? The high ropes course at Ammersee or the climbing garden at Lake Starnberg are perfect for enjoying bird’s eye views and afterwards you can refresh yourself by jumping into the water. By the way, cooling down is easy on all Tours: whether from the outside - in the form of lakes and ponds - or from the inside - in the form of bars and cafés.
At Lake Starnberg, you can also rent a pedal boat or a stand-up paddleboard to enjoy even more variety between the trails. If you prefer peace, quiet and secluded sunbathing areas, then you're sure to find what you're looking for on our forest, meadow and pond Tour. The Andechs monastery, on the other hand, is the highlight for all those interested in culture – you can easily visit it before or after the uphill trail Tour.
Thanks to the extra power offered by an e-mountain bike, you can master every climb. Even small bikers can easily keep up with the big ones. You can reach the starting points of the five Tours with electric assistance if the nearby parking areas are already full, too; the search for a parking space is a thing of the past!
